Greetings MIUIers, Hope you guys have a nice day. I know many of you guys didn't know how to Flash with MiFlash, so I have decided to create a thread about this. Don't know how to flash?? Here's the guide!! Let's Get started! Note: This method will work with every Official fastboot ROM, Unlocked BL. For Downgrading or Switching ROM, you need to clean all to prevent any conflict. Important: Do it at your own risk. I am not responsible for any bricked device, thermonuclear war, motherboard fried up, etc. If you are inexperienced in flashing, please don't use this method. Pre-requisites USB debugging mode enabled Driver signature disabled Miflash tool installed Official Fastboot ROM Patience and brain Unlocked bootloader  REDMI NOTE 4 SD Works for Unlocked BL Setting up parts Step 1: Enable USB debugging Go setting then About Phone > Now Tap 7 Times on MIUI version. This will Enable Developer Options On your Phone. Go back to Main settings Menu. Click on Additional Settings > Developer Settings > Enable USB Debugging. Unlocking Bootloader Procedure China & Global Stable and Developer ROM Please make sure you're on official MIUI ROM to unlock Check out this thread first before applying permission  a)Important Changes Regarding Unlocking Bootloader Application Status And Reason http://en.miui.com/thread-410945-1-1.html  b)Read and Follow the FAQ Mi Devices  Bootloader Unlocking FAQ: Announcement, Troubleshoot, and Tips http://en.miui.com/thread-246705-1-1.html 1)Then Apply here http://en.miui.com/unlock/ Wait for the permission message (3-15 days,  depends on the server) You wil receive message through SMS What you should do after received the approval SMS? 1) Settings---> About phone---> MIUI Version (Tap on it to enable developer option). 2) Settings---> Additional settings---> Developer option and bind your approved Mi account under Mi Unlock Status. This works on latest China & Global Stable and Developer ROM. For those who don't see this option please check out next tutorial. 3. Log into the Mi account which has acquired unlocking permission on your device 4. Turn off your device, press the Power button and Volume - button at the same time to enter fastboot mode  5. Log into the unlocking tool on PC with the same Mi account. Connect the device with the PC using USB cable 6. Press 'Unlock'. The unlocking process will complete in about 10 seconds Important: For those who stuck at 50% error 'Couldnt verify device ', kindly refer this thread below. Stuck at 50%? Here's the guide, dont panic!  Solution for stuck at 50% while unlocking bootloader. http://en.miui.com/thread-434406-1-1.html After you done this and it failed, just give it a break for a week, and come again to unlock. Notes: 1. One Mi account could only unlock one device within 30 days 2. Users require to request for unlocking permission in this site: http://en.miui.com/unlock/ 3. If a prompt says that the current account is not logged into a connected device. Please log in with this account on the device that needs to be unlocked 4. Please provide the real reasons why you want to unlock your phone in English. Install Drivers Parts Open Device Manager and Phone will be detected as QHUSB_BULK. Right Click and choose Update Drivers. IMPORTANT : - Driver Signature Enforcement: It's recommended to disable. Reboot your PC in Advanced Mode and Choose Disable Driver Signature. Check this thread out (Credits to @Feds64) Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 7/8/10 64-Bit Steps to install driver 1. Choose Browse My Computer for Driver Software 2. Choose the Path of Xiaomi Folder. Most of users will find it like this. Note:- If Folder does not exist , Install MI Flash (Link below) first.Update : For latest Version Path Changed to C:\XiaoMi\XiaoMiFlash Win 64 bit C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Xiaomi \ MiPhone \ Qualcomm \ Driver 3. Choose Install this Driver Software anyway. 4. Wait till driver installation successful. 5. The driver will be installed Successfully and you can see added in Ports as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. Flashing Parts!! Here We Go!!!{:4_103:} Fastboot Rom are required. Recovery ROM will not work.If you have already downloaded Fastboot ROM no need to Download again. (File Extension with .Zip file is Recovery ROM, .tgz or .tar file is Fastboot ROM) Search the latest fastboot ROM here LINK Once you downloaded the file, extract it with WinAR MI Flash Tool is released Download here For 32-Bit Windows use Beta Version of MI Flash From here Xiaomi Flashing Tool Miflash(Beta Version) Released! Download It Here http://en.miui.com/thread-281979-1-1.html Very Important Your phone need to be charged at least 60% battery remaining. Also please backup before flashing as flashing through MiFlash will wipe all user data. You can backup using local backup or MiCloud, I recommend use both in one shot. There are two ways 1. For Local Backup, you can go to setting>additional setting> backup & reset>local backup(some stuffs are not backed up) 2. MiCloud, you can go to setting>Mi account>Micloud, remember to enable sync option. MiFlash flashing steps: 1. Run MiFlash.exe and press refresh button. Your device will be detected as COM3, in this flashing process i am using MiFlash Beta as I have 32bit Window. 2. Secondly, browse the ROM you have downloaded. Note: -The path of the ROM folder should be like "C:\Users\user ATEKDCO3\Desktop\Flash rom/mido global image......" Not "C:\Users\user ATEKDC03\Desktop\Flash rom\mido global image....../images" The mido global image....... Rom folder should have the files showed in the photo below. 3. Click on Flash and it will start process Select Clean_all option to prevent any conflicts For unlocked bootloader, avoid Clean_ALL and lock scripts or else your bootloader will be relocked!! The flashing progress should starts 4. Wait for the flashing progress to be finished. Be patient, it will take 10-20 minutes to finish. Do not cancel the flashing progress/reboot your PC/unplug the USB cable, it will cause your device bricked!! 5. Once flashing process completes. Remove the cable and keep Power Button pressed until it vibrates. The Device will start, wait till completion, it can take up to 10-20 minutes to boot up. Now you can enjoy your new ROM!!
